Summer Camp by DESIRE Society
Visited the summer camp held by DESIRE society, in the weekend.
It was a camp for HIV positive children. There were about 45 to 50 children who came for the camp. It was held for three days (8th, 9th and 10th May) at vignan school, nijampet road.
It was very nice being with those kids. The kids were all very active and healthy. Most of them are from Desire society only. Only 10 or so kids are from outside.
They conducted different games, held some competitions, and dances by kids to entertain them. Till evening they used to conduct indoor games and in the evening outdoor games like co co, cricket were held. In the night they played some movies for the kids to watch. All the three days and nights the kids spent there only in the school.
On the first day, to the inauguration of the camp, the famous music director Mr. R P Patnayak came. He spent around three hours with the kids.

Briefly about DESIRE:

Current Situation In IT industries
Once upon a time the government with Ruling Party XYZ.. had a vast scrap yard in the middle of a desert.
Ruling Party XYZ Said.. - "Someone may steal from it at night."
So they created a night watchman position and hired a person for the job. Then Ruling Party XYZ Said..
- "How does the watchman do his job without instruction?"
So they created a planning department and hired two people, one person to write the instructions, and one person to do time studies. Then Ruling Party XYZ Said -
- "How will we know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?"
So they created a Quality Control department and hired two people. One to do the studies and one to write the reports. Then Ruling Party XYZ Said.. ,
- "How are these people going to get paid?"
So they created the following positions, a time keeper, and a payroll officer, then hired two people. Then Ruling Party XYZ Said..,
- "Who will be accountable for all of these people?"
So they created an administrative section and hired three people, an Administrative Officer, Assistant Administrative Officer, and a Legal Secretary. Then Ruling Party XYZ Said..,
- "We have had this command in operation for one year and we are $18,000 over budget, we must cutback overall cost."
So they laid off the night watchman.

Be careful !!!!!
XYZ Office -> A fire alarm rang at 6 PM when almost all shift employees are in office (approx 5000). As usual entire office was evacuated within 3 mins & every employee gathered outside office, in the emergency assembly area. 10 mins passed ..................................5 more mins passed.
Security Officer -> Announcement started, "Dear Employees - With melting heart I am making this announcement that for many of you it will be a last evacuation drill, as we are laying off almost 80% employee. While moving in who-so-ever ID card won't work are lay off & all their belongings will be couriered to them tomorrow. We followed this approach as we don't want to fill email box size with layoff mail in thousands & also to avoid any fight inside office". Hope you have nice career ahead. Please move in & try your luck.

Happy Pongal to all

Wish everyone a very happy Makara Sankranthi / Lohri / Bhogali Bihu / Uttarayan / Pongal / Maghi / Maghe Sankranti (also Bhogi & Kanuma)!!!
This time i had a very good time during this festive season. I've been to my hometown after loooong time and that too for 5 days! Its been years since i spent morethan a day at my place!
It was great fun visiting all my cousin's houses and spending sometime with everyone.
It made me forget all the recent hurdles like the falloff of the economy, software stream, and also satyam.
I hope this festival gives everyone a great start of the year!

Hrudaya Spandana _ by Sahaaya Foundation
The day when the rays of hope were spread in the dark world of music.
Sahaaya Foundation, found in 2007, June by Mr. Srinivas, completed the journey of 1.5 years. They used to visit Orphanages, Old age Homes on monthly basis and serve the needs there. But they wanted to do something more than just visiting and serving these homes.
They have decided to give an opportunity to a group of visually challenged students who are waiting to show their various talents in music to the world. Remember, it is not for charity, but to get more opportunities for these young people.
After the struggle for three months and some hurdles, finally the day has come.
Date: 13th December, 2008
Time: 6 30 PM
Venue: Hari Hara Kala Bhavan
Orchestra: Kishore, Rajesh, Aditya and team
Singers: Vijay, Shravya, Priyanka, rajini, Bharati
Dancers: Phani and Vijayashri
They are a group of 16 who play Jazz, Rhythm Pad, Casio, Tabla.
All the people in the group are visually challenged. But they can see everything with their senses. They are not disabled but they are all differently able.
The show was a grand success. Everyone who had attended the event had great experience. The guests (from the Film Industry) were also very happy to be a part of such an event. Nobody expected that much response… but… but… it is not just success… but a great success.
What is success after all…? Its not just money… it is something more… Now the group has opportunities knocking their doors… which was the intention of organizing the event… its now fulfilled… that is success!!
