Hrudaya Spandana _ by Sahaaya Foundation
The day when the rays of hope were spread in the dark world of music.
Sahaaya Foundation, found in 2007, June by Mr. Srinivas, completed the journey of 1.5 years. They used to visit Orphanages, Old age Homes on monthly basis and serve the needs there. But they wanted to do something more than just visiting and serving these homes.
They have decided to give an opportunity to a group of visually challenged students who are waiting to show their various talents in music to the world. Remember, it is not for charity, but to get more opportunities for these young people.
After the struggle for three months and some hurdles, finally the day has come.
Date: 13th December, 2008
Time: 6 30 PM
Venue: Hari Hara Kala Bhavan
Orchestra: Kishore, Rajesh, Aditya and team
Singers: Vijay, Shravya, Priyanka, rajini, Bharati
Dancers: Phani and Vijayashri
They are a group of 16 who play Jazz, Rhythm Pad, Casio, Tabla.
All the people in the group are visually challenged. But they can see everything with their senses. They are not disabled but they are all differently able.
The show was a grand success. Everyone who had attended the event had great experience. The guests (from the Film Industry) were also very happy to be a part of such an event. Nobody expected that much response… but… but… it is not just success… but a great success.
What is success after all…? Its not just money… it is something more… Now the group has opportunities knocking their doors… which was the intention of organizing the event… its now fulfilled… that is success!!

September 11, 2001 .... September 11, 2008

September 11, 2001
For past one month I was attending a crash course to get placement in PG. All of my friends are also attending it, since our’s was the first batch in for that Masters degree.
…
A few months later… we got placed in the PG, but in different colleges. All of us used to work part-time after the college timings.
I know... what you are thinking now… but no… you can’t say that.
Its after all a so called co-incidence… that’s all!

The uncertain origins of a foolish day
Ancient cultures, including those as varied as the Romans and the Hindus, celebrated New Year's Day on or around April 1. It closely follows the vernal equinox (March 20th or March 21st.) In medieval times, much of Europe celebrated March 25, the Feast of Annunciation, as the beginning of the new year.
In 1582, Pope Gregory XIII ordered a new calendar (the Gregorian Calendar) to replace the old Julian Calendar. The new calendar called for New Year's Day to be celebrated Jan. 1. That year, France adopted the reformed calendar and shifted New Year's day to Jan. 1. According to a popular explanation, many people either refused to accept the new date, or did not learn about it, and continued to celebrate New Year's Day on April 1. Other people began to make fun of these traditionalists, sending them on "fool's errands" or trying to trick them into believing something false. Eventually, the practice spread throughout Europe.
April Fools' Day is observed throughout the Western world. Practices include sending someone on a "fool's errand," looking for things that don't exist; playing pranks; and trying to get people to believe ridiculous things.

*** The chain mails (hoax) that we usually get were actually invented for this cause... but now... everyone knows how they are used!

First Day of Spring
The first day of spring this year (2008) is March 20. The equinox will be at 5:48 GMT.
In general, the four seasons correspond to the relative position of the Sun to the earth. Meteorological determination of Spring is calculated when the Sun passes through the equatorial plane. When going from Winter to Spring, the Sun is moving North, and as soon as the Sun crosses the equator, we call it Spring.
