Don't count years...Count experiences

If a drop of water falls on lake, it loses its identity.

If it falls on a Rose, it shines.

If it falls on a Shell, it becomes a pearl.

Drop is same but the company matters…

God chooses our relatives... but we choose our friends...

Happy New Year :-)

PS - By saying 'company' i don't mean a business entity... but companion.

It's amazing how the simple is not so simple and the obvious is not so obvious.

Also, when we've been wrong nine times, we don't trust ourselves anymore and even when truth is presented to us, because of past failures, we doubt the obvious

...we doubt us.

Don't let past failures convince you that you can't be right, that you can't do it, that success isn't destined for you.

We don't fail because we don't succeed,
we fail because we quit,
believing that we can't win.

Four Questions

There are only four questions of value in life.
What is sacred?
Of what is the spirit made?
What is worth living for?
What is worth dying for?
The answer to each is the same.

Only love.

~From the movie, "Don Juan DeMarco"

Love ... need not be the love that many of us come across in teanage! It can be any. Like our love for God, our love for our parents, our love for our friends or our love for ourselves!
It's just a pure feeling that we have for somebody!

The ability to see beauty in all is a trait that we all need, we just need our motives pure.

Hold your toungue!!

I got this phrase of Bible from one of my teammates, who used to tease someone or the other always and later regret for doing so...

"When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by
a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by human beings, but no one can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither
can a salt spring produce fresh water."

I miss you

Stars are not as bright as earlier...
Sky is not as pleasant...
Birds are not as cute...
Flowers are not as pretty...
Life is not as beautiful as...
when you were by my side

Missing you sooo much...

Fourth Window

One of my close friends used to say that my fourth window seems to be big. But i feel the same for the second window.
For those who couldn't understand what am talking about, here is the explanation. This is not something defined and stated somewhere but it is something which we both(me and my friend) used to discuss about, most of the times. This is about a person's personality.

Every person has four windows to his/her personality.
First window tells what you know about yourself and what others also know about yourself. Second window tells what you know about yourself and what others doesn't know.
Third window tells what others know about yourself but you doesn't know.
Finally, the fourth window tells what you don't know about yourself neither do others.

To me, second window is very much interesting and i like to keep it big. That doesn't mean that am an introvert. At the same time am not an extrovert too!!
What i know about myself and others dosen't know is lot more compared to what others know about me. Thats what i feel atleast. And i wish to be like that. There are hell lot of things in my life which i never shared with anyone. I have very less number of friends whom with i share most of the things, if not everything. But none of them know me enough, neither do i except them to.
What others know about myself and i doesn't konw... only others can tell about this. Most of the things that i hear from others about me... i already know. So that doesn't come here. Till now noone said anything about me that i doesn't know. Am still waiting to know about my third window... so that i know myself better!
What i know about myself and what others also know... nothing much to say about this as everyone knows ;).
What i don't know about myself neither do others... can't say anything about this as this is about what i don't know about myself :).

The Assumption

A man, exiting a grocery store, was very surprised when a rather good-looking and perky young lady greeted him cheerfully by saying "Good Evening."

Her face was beaming. At least she was smiling until he gave her that "Who are you?" look. He couldn't remember having ever seen her before.

Then, she obviously realized that a mistake had been made and apologized.

She explained, "Oh, I'm so sorry. When I first saw you I thought you were the father of one of my children."
She walked on her way into the store.

The man was left staring dumbfounded after her.
More than a bit puzzled, he thought to himself, "What is the world coming to, an attractive woman who doesn't even keep track of what the father of her children look like."

However, he was also a bit flattered that he might resemble one of her former suitors. But, also hoped that nobody overheard her saying that she mistook him for being the father of one of her children.

A bit panicked, he then thought, "Could I possibly have forgotten a relationship? Could it be that I really fathered a child?"

Still stunned, he walked to his car.

He still did not realize, of course,

that she was a fifth-grade teacher at a local elementary school.
